Hi, I’m Julie—lifelong animal lover, passionate rescuer, and the heart behind LoneStar K9 Boarding. My love for animals began in childhood and has grown into a full-time calling
For over 15 years, I raised and cared for high-quality English Bulldogs with a strong focus on health, temperament, and ethical practices. But my heart has always had a soft spot for the underdogs—especially homeless mama dogs and their puppies in need. I’ve spent years fostering countless dogs, offering them safety, love, and a fresh start through rescue. Shepherd’s Gate is more than just a business—it’s an extension of my heart, my home and the land where I care for a variety of beloved animals. Currently, I share my life with 5 horses, 1 mule, 1 mini horse, 3 donkeys, a pot belly pig and over 40 dairy goats—most of whom were found abandoned ,dumped or just in need of a soft place to land.
Our farm is a safe haven for all animals , and your dog will be treated with the same love and attention I give to each of my own.
Whether you’re boarding your pup overnight or just dropping them off for some daytime fun, you can trust they’re in caring, capable hands with someone who’s spent her life caring for animals and making sure they feel safe, seen, and loved.
